In 2006, in partnership with MLB Productions, Sam was Showrunner for a six-part television series that he created, co-wrote and produced in conjunction with MLB Productions and Al Roker Entertainment. The series chronicles six minor league players toiling in the minor leagues, dreaming of becoming a big league ball player and making it to The Show.
Narrated by Joe Mantegna and filmed in cooperation with the Tucson Sidewinders, Arizona Diamondbacks and Major League Baseball.
